A free crochet pattern for a plumeria leaf to go along with your plumeria flower. Sewn together, they make a perfect "doily" for a candle.
Using fingering weight cotton yarn and a 2mm hook, the leaf measures 11 inches long (including stem) and 4 inches wide.
Special Stitches:
Odd Increase (Odd Inc) = When there are three stitches to increase over, then [dc, 2 dc in the middle stitch, dc].
Even Increase (Even Inc) = When there are four stitches to increase over, then [dc in the first stitch, dc2tog over the 1st and 2nd stitches, dc in the 2nd stitch].
Row 1: Chain 64. Row 2: 2 dc in the third chain from the hook. [Dc 3, dc2tog, ch] repeat 11 times, dc, hdc 2, sc2tog, sc, sl st 9 to create the stem, ch, turn.
Stem finished, continue to other side of foundation chain.
Row 3: Sl st 9 along the stem, sc, [ch 4, hdc in the second stitch of the dc2tog] repeat 11 times, ch 4, sc in the same ch st as the dc-2 cluster, ch 2, sl st in the closest dc, turn.
