Bell Christmas Ornament

Difficulty: Beginner ✦✧✧✧✧

Here is the third in this series of free crochet Christmas ornament patterns to help decorate your tree. This one is shaped like a bell. The Christmas ornaments are inspired by classic glass Christmas ornaments. They are baby and toddler friendly which is perfect in my home right now.

For these ornaments, I am using a sparkly light fingering weight yarn (I used Loops and Threads Payette yarn in icicle, ruby red, and sterling silver) with a 3.25mm (D) hook.

I love the sparkly thread running through the yarn and the occasional piece of sequins. They give the ornaments just the right sparkly touch that will look great when Christmas lights reflect off of them!

This bell Christmas ornament measures about 4.5 inches long and 3.5 inches in diameter at its widest point

Suvi's 2017 Christmas Ornaments:

Each ornament is made in a continuous spiral.

Note: you will notice that about 2/3 of the sequins gets pushed to the inside (the "wrong" side) of the ornament as your stitch it. You can either coax it to the "right" side, or turn the ornament inside out when stuffing to get more sequins on the outside. I opted to coax some of the sequins to the "right" side for my ornaments.
